At CoignAMT, we have proven our ability to combine our asset management expertise with the use of GIS and CADD, web-enabled databases, high-end graphics, 3-D visualization and web-based plan management to create problem solving and decision making tools for facility planning, management and programming solutions.  Our team of GISP’s, GIS experts, CADD and Global Positioning System (GPS) technicians are well experienced with geospatial data collection and geo-referencing and perform these activities on a daily basis. Our GIS related services include:

  • Support for multiple GIS/CADD platforms and Standards
  •  GIS Integration, Data Collection and Conversion
  • Enterprise GIS Solutions
  • Onsite GIS Support

 Multiple GIS/CADD platforms and Standards

CoignAMT personnel have experience in all major spatial data software platforms. The most common are:

  •  Bentley MicroStation
  • Autodesk AutoCAD
  •  ESRI ArcGIS
  •  Intergraph GeoMedia
  • Bentley GeoGraphics

GIS data can be stored in various back end database formats. CoignAMT has database administrators well versed in:

  • Oracle
  •  Oracle Spatial
  •  MySQL
  • SQL Server
  •  MS Access

Adherence to established data standards are part of the CoignAMT business model. CoignAMT personnel are familiar with the standards defined by the CAD/GIS Technology Center, BOMA , FGDC’s National Standard for Spatial Data Accuracy (NSSDA) and Meta Data and many state, local and municipal clients. Personnel have developed tools to save time by streamlining data migration and integration, while maintaining or exceeding data standardization requirements.

 GIS Integration, Data Collection and Conversion

CoignAMT has vast experience in collecting spatial data from various sources, and integrating that data with existing GIS systems. Data is also integrated with other non-spatial data sources. This data can come from the following sources:

  •  Generated internally through projects and obtained as deliverables from A/E contractors in the form of hard copy or CADD site plans, maps and as-built drawings;
  •  Generated by converting existing land and facility records to a digital format and geo-referencing the features to the GIS coordinate system and projection;
  •  Obtained through field data collection efforts using either conventional surveying, GPS, aerial photography or Light Detection and Ranging (LIDAR);
  •  Purchased through commercial or government GIS data suppliers;
  •  Internet sources.

 Once collected spatial data is converted to the platform of choice and adheres to existing spatial data standards, and attribution has been completed, the next step is to integrate with existing non spatial data sources. These sources can include:

  •  Existing Legacy Database Systems
  •  Real Property Databases
  •  Energy and Utility Databases
  • Computerized Maintenance Management Systems
  •  Service and Work Order Systems

Enterprise GIS Solutions

Our clients trust our ability to provide end-to-end enterprise solutions that move them from the planning and design phase to implementation and sustainment. CoignAMT offers a team of top geospatial experts that have years of hands-on experience implementing Federal and civilian GIS systems.

Our approach to an enterprise GIS begins with a needs assessment to analyze an organization’s existing hardware, software, data, staffing, IT infrastructure and training in relation to GIS. Once an existing conditions baseline is established and organizational needs are analyzed, an implementation plan is developed to meet short and long term GIS needs. The most important aspect of an enterprise GIS is providing accurate data to the decision makers, and to ensure those decision makers know how to use the tools provided. Both desktop and web-enabled tools can fulfill this need.

 Onsite GIS Support

CoignAMT has the capability to not only sustain and support client’s on-going geospatial operations but to enhance them by augmenting onsite staff with personnel that know how to apply geospatial resources, leading edge technology, and business processes to a wide array of real world applications.

CoignAMT’s onsite personnel perform as an extension of the clients staff to ensure the mission is successfully completed on time. On-site staff members are typically capable of maintaining enterprise wide GIS systems which includes:

  •  Daily CAD and GIS support.
  • Maintenance of all GIS data layers
  • System Administration
  • Database Administration
  • Map Generation
  • Data Collection
